I play both, hockey is perhaps more manly, but that doesn't really speak down on soccer. Even in the height of my physical prowess, running around at full speed for 90 minutes is a darn hard endeavor, and then factor in the game itself... It does put a huge amount of stress on the body, and it's not like soccer is immune to injury.

More like the other way around. Pro players seem to canstanly fall over and hold on to their leg then forgetting which leg to hold on to.

You must be a Series A fan ;)

Diving is pretty bad, but there's been some pretty nasty footy injuries over the year. Also consider the physics of getting kicked anywhere on your body by someone who earns a living kicking something. You bet I'm going to go to the ground clutching something...

Side note, what the hell is in that magic water bottle they spray on injuries? Also, where can I buy it lol

No, it was a rumor going around the west that the DPRK said they won the entire tournament. It was not helped by the fact that SNL made this joke too..

I remember them hiring a group of actors as fans...one of them started waving South Korean flags, I believe.

Number one there were Korean AND Chinese fans, not just Chinese. And no, no one was waving a south Korean flag.
It is funny how people think people from the DPRK are not allowed to leave, even though there are many who visit family or travel to China and Russia.

I would not doubt that someone was being a smart ass and waving a S Korean flag to antagonize the DPRK.

I wouldn't be surprised either, North Korea isn't the most loved country in the world...
Still, they didn't do that bad. Yes, they lost most of their matches pretty badly, but the games I've seen from them, they weren't so bad for a team that had only 2 players that played in even decent competitions (one played in Japan, another in Germany, I believe).

I've got to admit though, when DPRK scored against Brazil in the World Cup, they went mental. I was jumping out of my sit when they scored lol
