I think it's fairly obvious that the very notion of good commentary making up for a shit-tastic mic is ridiculous and thus I assumed that further comments would be self explanatory.
What? That is utterly retarded. Just because someone doesn't have a good Mic there commentary is deemed insufferable? You dont even Need a Mic to do commentary text videos are as hilarious as ever, the let's player does not need the Mic, all he needs is confidence, a computer and the will to entertain. mics are irrelevant.
Subtle commentary or even gameplay itself is commentary. Your lack of vision is limited, think outside the box.
Both of you have good points. I agree with D3ad that normal LP's give in quality if you keep hearing noise. But Rom does have a point when he says that there are alternative means to make videos which don't require a good mic.
...I'm sorry. I lost you after "oral". But really, you don't need an $80,- mic. Most will do with less than a quarter of the price.
