When rock n roll came out I'm pretty sure older folk thought exactly the same you're thinking. Its like saying, "The new generation is so stupid, rude, and irresponsible!" When the same exact thing would happen to the generation before it. Also there is no such thing as "real music", anything that is enjoyable to our ears is "real music". I'd say just go with the flow and stick with it. Also kudos to the man who posted Hey Ya, it's my ringtone. Also I'm a music nomad, I'm not a huge fan of rap and/or hip hop but when there's a good song then I'll take it.
I dislike the fact that talented singers are trying to survive by singing and playing instruments on the streets, and tallentless get millions of cash for their auto tuned voices. by the way I dont know about you guys but in my opinion best songs are:Rock, bard and marching songs also classic
Ingvar don't double post please just edit your post. But there are some gems in the toilet of modern music. But the thing that will happen to the 40% of them is just what happened to Bruno Mars. He started out as a talented guy who did something old in a musical world of bad party songs and it came out new and fresh. But he begun to make some okay singles and then he started being an idiot and made the Lazy song which I still hate with a passion. Then his carieer went downhill from there.(If you don't agree with me just don't give a shit aboot it)
FYI, there is plenty of good rap still out there, at least in my opinion. Kid Cudi, Aesop Rock, Outkast, YTcracker, Dre, and Jay-Z have all put out good, non-autotuned, stuff since 2000.
lol Outcast Rap? HA, there R&B hip hop, unless there newer stuff, is Rap, I havent heard Outcast since, The love below and Speakerbox CD's.
90's rap was the best rap ever.there was there was snoop biggie 2pak and so many more they rapped with soul. i love all music except the autotuned shit thats being cranked out on mainstream today talking about raping bitches and having sex and gettin drunk 90's rap rapped about life my favorite bad of all time was sublime from the 90's they were a mixture of punk rock, ska and ragaee i grew up to that music being from California... there is always good music and there always will be u just gotta search for what YOU wana listen to and dont listen to anybody elses garbage!!!!!
No one should waste their time debating about music. It's pointless. Your hipster tastes aren't worth anything and don't make you superior.
