    Hospitals, welfare agencies, orphanages, charities, relief agencies, universities and they fought for prison reforms, abolitionism, education and treatment for alcoholism. You mix up Christianity with the Vatican. The whole Christian belief is found on "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". That is a good belief, and a if a few people are extremist, that doesn't mean all of them are bad. You might believe different, but don't force your beliefs at others. I don't do that to you either.

    Christianity is the epitome of forcing your beliefs unto others. Basically, "if you do not accept our God, you will burn in a fiery pit of doom for all eternity while being raped by demons and shit". As for charity, rehabilitation and education, that was not ushered in by Christianity. Instead, Christianity lead to these problems in the first place. How are Christianity and the Vatican two different things?

    Speaking from personal experience, anybody who is a devoted Christian is a pretentious fuckwit and a generally intolerant snob.

    Christianity is not an agent. Religion is not an agent.

    People are agents. Any bad that you assign to Christianity comes from people who claim to be Christian. Religion is not evil because religion is not capable of action. We do not assign morality to objects or ideas, only to agents and action. Unless you're one of those types.

    Also, r/atheism donated a large amount of money recently. Is that because they're atheists? No, religious beliefs have barely anything to do with it. There were universities (or at least something like them) before Christianity. So were hospitals. Just because a Christian (or a group of them) builds a hospital, the hospital wasn't created because of Christianity.
