    Russia is counted as a winner in WW1 despite their surrender and Russo-Japanese war was not a land war. But there's allot of wars Russia has lost like 3 Russo-Ottoman wars (out of 14)

    It was one of Russo-Ottoman wars despite the fact that Ottomans had Brits & French fighting for them.

    To Russo-Japanese war was fought on land, such as the Battle of Mukden, Battle of Yalu River and Battle of Sandepu, it's just that the most famous battle, Tsushima was a naval battle.

    Well according to one of my books Russia lost Armenia, part of Bessarabia and had to cease protecting Moldavia and Wallachia also the Black sea and Åland were demilitarized.
