What are you going on about? The president does not control the economy or the prices of anything, so no it has not been proven in the past.

    VP's don't do much.

@Tyum2 Newsflash bro: the president can not control the the flow of oil from the middle east or how much privately owned companies charge per gallon.

@DukeofAwesome it has been established since his last election that he supported same sex marriages. What is the problem with making it official? It doesn't help him or hurt him that much.

I don't have a problem with it, I just don't feel the need to congratulate him on restating a fact he made before, which is also a fact that shouldn't even be disputed, especially in politics. The problem I had was primarily with his Afghanistan withdrawal announcement. It came right around the time that Santorum was out of the race. That says to me that he made that announcement purely because the election process against Romney was starting. He waited to make that announcement until it was the most politically sound time to make it, and while he waited people died. US citizens died. Innocent Afghans died. It just sickens me that he is willing to allow the killing of innocents and US soldiers to continue for another few months because he wanted to wait another few months to make his announcement coincide with his election.

What are you talking about? We are not going to be out of afghanistan until 2014(assuming Obama wins). Obama waiting(and we still do not know that he did wait, you just assume) to make this announcment has no bearing on which soldiers or afghan civilans were killed before he made the announcment. And wait what announcment are you talking about? Obama declared his withdraw plan last year.

If I would have to vote, I would vote Obama. But he has one major flaw...

He is still an American politician.

It's true, I suppose, that I'm assuming that he did wait, but I can't really think of anything that was stopping him from announcing it long before. If he had announced it months prior, then it stands to reason that the withdrawal date would be sooner as well. Are you sure it was last year? I read an article on BBC about it a week or two ago.

Rubio's parents were immigrants. He was born in the states.

I love this guy. He would be a dream to have on the ticket.
