I doubt thats the reason they pay for their games. Personally, I could have got a lot of games for free, but I wanted the fancy boxes that come with them, they look cool on my cupboard ;)

Also, even though Steam games are possible to get for free, but its not worth all the trouble, Im not exactly good with computers.

Some games are not worth to spent your money on. I likely pirate old games mostly, some new for instance.

Whoa, how do you not pay for the train?! May I learn your technique, my mentor? It seems as though all train stations I go to in England have turnstiles and guards...

I would pirate but my computer started acting weirdly. But before that i would pirate any game that i would think would be worth while, only to find that they were shit.

I fucking hate Steam. Game companies need to stop using this horseshit.

My account got glitched and Steam support didn't do jack. I lost five hundred dollars worth of games and all they offered me was to buy them back at a 50% discount.

Yeah, seriously. I spent three days emailing them and on the phone with one of their support people.

My steam client just plain stopped working on my laptop, and I went without video games until I got stupid service pack 1. There is an obvious flaw with steam in that you have to be online and it has to work, I hate it but I LOVE it at the same time because when it DOES work it is absolutely amazing and a superior way to game.

I live in a seaside town in kent, I travel mainly between two stops which are about 20 minutes away from each other, no guards, no turnstiles. Only thing I have to worry about it conductors.
