Dude, I'm fully aware that they made KOTOR. That was why I compared it to KOTOR. And I am pretty sure that everyone else carried away the knowledge that I knew that they made KOTOR from my post.
I played both games and still do.
Lucus Arts may have only published the games, but the material in it - with regards to the SW universe, belong to Lucas Arts.

I completely agree with the first post here. DLC is all fine and good, and I've never really had a problem with it (except for ridiculously useless things that cost extreme amounts of money, such as fucking gun skins in GoW 3). Map packs for CoD games are fine and dandy, as it really gives me the opportunity to stop and think about whether I like the multiplayer aspects enough to shell out $10 each few months.
One thing I'll never understand is these serious game-changing addons that add whole new levels of depth or strategy to a game, but are still limited to DLC packs. One of my biggest issues with Dragon Age 2 was the fact that every character has a unique storyline which can compliment your experience in the campaign depending on your actions, and yet they release new characters in DLC packs that you have to shell out even more cash to truly get the full game experience. Pretty soon I've spent around $30 extra just to get things which really should have been there in the first place.
Special edition bonuses never really bothered me, at first, as they've usually just been a "super powerful chrome gun and a sweet new set of armour", but the fact that I have to spend most likely around $80 or so just to get access to a character and new lore which genuinely intrigue me just really chaps my ass.
My other complaint about DLC? What the fuck, Rocksteady. I don't want to play as fucking Nightwing and Robin in challenge maps. Challenge maps are fun for about 5 minutes.

I'm joining the boycott! I will not purchase Mass Effect 3, but pirate it instead in protest.

Activision exterminates developers & franchises, EAs war on used copies hurt every single consumer - their customers-.

Fuck you EA and fuck you Activision!

You know what i think? I think EA can take it's dlc plans AND SHOVE IT UP THEIR FUCKING ASSES. Seriously EA is nothing but stupid nowadays. First they took Syndicate and turned into future COD seriously if they actually tried to make something good they would ruin it. About the Mass Effect 3 dlc I personally think that corporate meddling was involved. I read an article on games radar about this too and it mentioned something about the dlc being done by a different team that was not part of Bioware so if it is true then the team was obviously provided by EA and instructed to intentionally hold back dlc. Oh and before i forget EA said that they would not put it on steam so fuck EA

So, this disgusting, piece of kaka game made by horrible, soulless people is released in just about three days (five for you Europeans).

Just thought I'd point it out.

Totalbiscuit actually addressed this in one of his mailboxes.

Thanks for sharing. I understand his reasoning and largely agree with it, but I'm not missing on ME3

Still, the main point I'm trying to get across is, regardless of the circumstances, piracy is illegal. Simply not buying the game isn't.

As to my opinion in this topic, I don't really see how boycotting ME3 is going to help anything, as gaming companies have been doing this sort of thing since the dawn of time, I don't see how a boycott will stop anything. You guys can boycott all you like, but i will not participate in it.

But i still may not buy it, boycott or not, because I'm broke :(

I have no moral obstacle in regards of piracy. I buy games if want to support the developer. No need to play all godie godie guy here.

And would you even have listened to what he said, several boycotts have worked. Besides isnt it weird paradox that boycotts don't work, because you refuse to boycott, because you think they wont work? Lol.

Fixed spelling and grammar in bold.

REGARDLESS OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES, PIRACY IS ILLEGAL.

I don't boycott, not because it won't work, but because my enjoyment of the mass effect trilogy is grater then my hatred of 0-day DLC. Besides, even if i do join your boycott, its just 60 bucks. EA and Bioware make millions, and will continue to make millions in spite of your boycott, thanks to the huge legions of mass effect fanboys guaranteed to buy mass effect 3.

To be fair, they are making millions off of mass effect already. Still doesn't change my opinion though.

You just proved my point. Not stopping you, but if they're holding key character for plot/story/lore at ransom, I'm not buying their game.

Its only 10 bucks for the DLC, if you can afford mass effect, and a console/PC to play it on, you can probably afford that.

nobody is forcing you. I for one don't give a rats ass if i pay 10 SFr more or less. Also you (btw same for TB) have no idea if it is relevant for the story or not. The additional dlc could turn out to be not that big of a deal. My point is that you can't just call it a key point of the game, if you have no clue yet. But don't worry i will tell you after i had many h0urs of entertainment (or you just watch Stalin! Shepard). I for one am just glad that there is finaly a dlc worth my money.
    ( i don't know that either)

Implying that therefore it somehow justifies it as a fair business practice.

If you people want to give in to corporate greed, then fuck each and every single one of you for allowing this to happen. If you purchase that DLC you send publishers a message that they can milk & exploit you for bare bones and in this case not even that. You have to buy extra just to get a full story that should be in the game. I don't mind skins or weapons (single player) or extra missions etc. But when you put a prothean -the most essential people- as DLC then there's no way I'm paying 20% extra of my original purchase just to know something about them in the very last game of the trilogy.

I'm not trying to stop you from buying it, but keep in mind that by accepting this bullshit you are making all of us (gamers) suffer because of you.
