yes the first sentence was sarcasm, also i just said i didnt understand its not an insult. What if someone came up toy you and said "Waaauut ees da taim". Youd ask them to repeat it.(really bad example, but i think you know what i mean)
Anyway on topic. I think the problem with China is that they arent too strong internaly, otherwise they are the most likely next superpower.

Why on earth would USA get invaded? Wouldnt they stuck their noses in Russian civil war, there wouldnt be cold war. Wouldnt you be world police, there wouldnt be Vitenam war, Korean war etc. Sure you have to have military, but you guys are overspending on it, and then wonder why you are so much in debth.

    Seriosly, get some perspective[D3adtrap quote]

Um i never said anything about an invasion. Nor did i mean invasion guess i should have clarified. There are many alternatives to gain influence over one another. Could be trading rights for instance (which wouldn't so far fecthed). However I was just stating a theory. A well pondered yet radical theroy, but theroy none the less. No reason to get all upset.

Personally, I think the EU will become a 'great-power', but unless it gets a more centralised goverment and if Europians start saying 'I'm part of the EU' instead of 'I'm [nationality], which is part of the EU' it will not become a 'superpower'. I don't think a unified military is needed to be a superpower, and it probably will never happen apart from something like 'The Joint Europian Counter-Terrorism Strike Force' of something like that.

As for Brazil, I think it will become a 'Western Hemisphere Superpower', but I don't know enough to tell if would become a global superpower.

Russia had their chance, and the probablility of it returning to it's superpower status is unlikely. At least, that is my opinion.

I think China definately fits the militarty requirements of a superpower, and it's economy is pretty good, but I think it won't reach that status anytime in the near future, or even at all.

And finally for India. No. Not unless it fixes it's poverty issues. But I would love to see them become one. 'Truth Alone Triumphs'.

I agree with both comments, Russia is still in the game.
