Thought I would start us off. Just had this dream last night.

    WARNING! Extremely graphic.

The dream started with me wandering through a forest trying to get somewhere unimportant. The beginning is a bit hazy to me as I can't quite remember where I was going or why. I remember being aware that the person I was in the dream was just mean to die in the way he does; that he was not me, but just meant to set up the plot for the rest of the dream. Eventually this first character of my dream Is wandering near a deep gulch and keeps looking down quite nervously, but its quite dark and he cant see anything at the bottom. Eventually he passes a strange rock formation that bridges the gulch, and starts to cross. He looks down one last time and is surprised to see that there is some sort of black box with strange markings on it lit up unnaturally about half way down the gulch. Intrigued, he sees that there is a way to jump to the platform with the box without hurting himself, and proceeds to jump. About three quarters of the way through this jump I have this sinking feeling knowing that he is going to die, yet I don't know how. Suddenly, right as he lands, spikes spring forth from the box and catch the unsuspecting victim in their patch, going through his torso and pinning him to the wall. He can feel the life seeping away, yet he can barely move he is in so much pain. I remember thinking logically of my dream at this point in my sleep and wondering to myself, "Well it wouldn't be a fast death would it?" Unconsciously, the dream changed as instead of him bleeding out quickly, he slowly and painfully loses blood until unconscious overtakes him, yet every time he passes out, he falls down the spike, waking him into extreme agony. I remember him pleading for help, screaming and crying to his parent, cursing fate, and just outright screaming in frustration as he realized his death was imminent. I remember realizing as it faded out a quite sinister sense that I was being watched, and whoever was watching was experiencing glee at my pain and death.

At this point my brain gives up on the first character, I realize I am now really myself in my dream, and I am looking for whoever the first person was in my dream in the forest with a group of people who are searching for him also. I am also quite aware of the fact that he is dead, but my character isn't. As they near the gulch, people in the search party exclaim at how deep it must be, and that perhaps character 1 fell in, but persuade themselves that he is not that clumsy. They make it to the area with the rock formation in which the first character was crossing, and manage to barely see his corpse in a shadow, but the spike and box appear to be gone. This part of my dream is probably the most laughably stupid, as the entire search party minus me jumps towards the corpse. Some sort of fall trap was set up, so that the entire cliff face collapses downwards, and all but two (of the ten or so) search party die, the two living only because of the cushion of the dead bodies underneath them. At this point, I become aware that the two people at the bottom who survived are people I know. There is a young girl, who I am/was quite attracted to several years ago. The other person is her mother, who I discern is quite crazy, and evil, maligned for her own survival. I call down to them, but they are disoriented and in some pain from the fall. I remember the mother thinking of herself, and how disgusting it was to be near dead bodies. She shrieks, as she realizes that there is blood on her.... dress? It appears to be a dress. The daughter is untangling herself from the corpses and accidentally stares into the eyes of a boy that she was good friends with, mangled and bloody, frozen in an expression of pain and surprise. She is overcome with sorrow, and a loss of what to do permeates her, she appears to be having a nervous breakdown. I hear them at the bottom, but there is no way for me to reach them. I try to call to them to explain that I will go get help, but I am unaware as to whether they are physically damaged, or just psychologically afraid of death. I panic, and start to run towards the nearest village, but I will not be back for sometime.

At this point, my perspective switches to that of the antagonist. I see his underground torture chamber, and his hidden cameras are pointed at the two remaining test subjects. He views them as test subjects. I can see he is gleefully happy at the surprise of survivors. 'Oh the possibilities' he thinks. He thinks of torturous things he can do do to them, deciding whether to kill the mother in front of the daughter, or vice versa. He is deeply troubled; none of the options seem to be able to capture his rage, the same rage he felt earlier in his life. As a kid, he and his brother had a deep rivalry; his brother always the righteous defender of morality, looked down on and scorned his brother for petty acts of cruelty towards animals, and was downright ignored by his parents. Always the underachiever, he was embodiment of the opposites of what he perceived his brother to be. He came to fulfill his parents greatest fears of him, a sort of fulfilling prophecy of the hate his family felt. Add that to his already temperamental outlook on humanity, and it is quite clear that he is completely insane. He laughs insanely as he burst forth out of his living quarters and torture chambers into the gulch some distance away.

I see the mother, relieved to see a stranger there to help, she is not quite what to think of the man as he seems to be smiling too much as he helps her up. The daughter is unable to trust the man. Where did he come from? How did he get down here so quickly? She is also leery of his crazed smile... The mother decides that they should trust the man.

My dream skips forward sometime, and I am only aware of the fact that somehow the mother has twisted the situation into her favor. She has convinced the man to torture her daughter instead of her, as she was the one who dragged her down her whole life. She does not believe any of this, as she is only trying to survive, on the verge of screaming and trying to run away. But she knows. There is nowhere to run. They are trapped. The daughter is terrified as the mother distracts the lunatic with vivid descriptions of what to do to her. She pleads with her mother. Her mother appears oblivious. He begins to torture her with electricity. Shock after shock, he laughs in glee. The mother stand by idly, convincing herself that survival at any cost is better than death in pursuit of a moral code that she does not believe in.

I am aware that I had made it back and somehow discovered the entrance to this bunker by this time, and due to the piss poor design of the bunker because dreams are unpredictable, was able to see into the room without fear of being seen. It was apparent to me that the daughter had been raped, and I felt gut wrenching anger, but also fear, as I did not know what to do. I feared for her safety, but more my own, as I suddenly felt my doom imminent. I decided to retreat to a safe distance as I thought of a plan, but mostly out of a cowardly survival instinct.

I decided to wait until he went for supplies one day to make my way into the bunker with friend of mine (I have no idea where the police/military is in my dream). I swear he has left so we begin to make our way down the hallway at the bottom of the ladder and make our way into what appears to be a medium sized room, well lit, but completely of a material synthetic. There are nozzles on the floor. The unapparent door, slams shut and locks behind us. It all becomes clear. I'm standing in a gigantic oven about to get burned alive. I run towards the opposite wall, a small panel halfway up the door is still open, big enough for a person. A laughing gleeful face appears, as well as a match... being lit. He throws the match in the room and yells something incoherently as he slams and locks the panel. The dream degrades from here as my terror begins to wake me up. I see a screen in the oven turn on and the man insanely taunting us as we burn alive, I feel as though every joint in my body is in my fire, screams nonstop emitting from my mouth. Even in this final scene of my dream, my brain cannot give me rest; its cognitive power correcting the small flaws. The fire would hurt your feet wouldn't it? I sense my shoes melting into my feet, they agony of hot rubber, and my clothes lighting on fire. Your hair would catch fire, wouldn't it says my brain? Suddenly I am roaring in agony on the floor as my hair catches on fire. I remember in my dream that bodies start to blacken as they burn, the skin bubbling.... Dear lord I cannot even stand anymore. My friend is angry at me for getting her killed. She punches me between fits of agony on the floor, putting us both in even more pain. Luckily at this point, the narrative my brain wrote ran out, and I woke up able to lower my heart rate, and confirm that I was not in fact, burning... Quite a disturbingly vivid dream, I felt that I was feeling the pain of every death in my entire body, the glee of psychopath at our expense, his overwhelming ecstatically at the way we writhed. There was a scene of my dream that I left out just because it was too personal for me to acknowledge :O.

I was wondering if anyone else has shockingly vivid and horrific dreams?

Seriously, I had a dream where I cured all sickness by method of ground-up Super Man bones. When I woke up I was completely convinced it was a good idea. Then it hit me. <disappointment>

Wow, a lot of detail there; my dreams, assuming I remember them, aren't usually very vivid, but the worst feeling i've ever had is that of being unable to move. On one occassion as a young child, that feeling continued while I was half awake, which has to be worst nightmare i've ever had, assuming that can be counted as a nightmare of course.

My dream was I was caught by Alien-Zombie Nazis, then dropped into a meat grinder, and eaten. The strange thing is I watched Pink Floyd's The Wall before I went to bed. So it probably formulated in their somehow. Though the song playing in my dream was by Genesis.

Genesis has had many eras. They started out as being a Symphonic Prog band, but slowly became more 80's.

    And Techno sucks.

A while back I dreamed of this old man with no arms.
For some reason, the first thought that crossed my mind when I saw him was "poor armless old man, it sure must be hard for him to jerk off". Next thing I know, in an irrational leap of altruistic madness, I offered to jerk him off. I'm sure you can tell what happened after that...
I still remember every little detail. The worst thing about it is that I didn't remember that dream as soon as I woke up, instead it all came back to me when I was having breakfast.

    Now that's a masturbation dream!
