There wasn't much swag about that...
Oh and Kali, no need to insult and "whine" about the "leftist brutes" when we can have a civilised discussion. Calling people's opinions bullshit doesn't make your argument any better,(though I agree with you) or telling them how "fucking warped" their perspective on things is. Just state your points without all that hate and anger...
Oh and stop "whining" about die-hard socialists. We're not branding anybody as fascists(well except FascistPatriot...)

Edit: Oh and I think removing representative/direct democracy would be one of the greatest crimes a government could commit to it's people.

I don't get why we need to be branded so badly by an ideology, next as much as I admire a figure like Stalin I would prefer living in a more democratic society then an autocracy, sure there is some flaws like the fact is someone of my position (socialist) will never be elected to office because it is just the way of the democratic society we live in. So unless we either convince them there position is wrong or create an autocracy that is never going to happen, and if we create an autocracy we are living in the idealism of the leader. (hope he is an effective one) so the best thing to do is just vote on the next best thing or convince people that ideas like socialism are right.

Then again you could just elected a supreme leader for life and have him do whatever he wants.

Or you could just introduce a fair and more democratic voting system like, oh I don't know, proportional representation.

He's actually using the term "brute" here in the appropriate manner in accordance to the particular brand of ideological rhetoric he's using in this thread, he isn't just pulling it out of nowhere and using it as conversation destroying libel. Like I pointed out earlier, I often do the same. Though no one ever seems to call me on it.

That's because you always seem to be joking and not being serious when saying it.(at least when I see it) I might treat Kali different because his attitude seems to be aimed at me as well, and I thus feel the need to defend my viewpoints.
The "particular brand of ideological rhetoric" is exactly what I'm against...

One can assume that when I start busting out words like "mysticism" and "brute" that I'm being fairly serious.

Crude as it may appear, objectivist terminology works fairly well as tool for relaying your point.

Okay, can't say I can recall you using those words, but I have long-term memory problems, so what the hell do I know.
No doubt effective, but I don't feel like it's very constructive in a debate.
